Bearsted Athletic U11 V Coxheath & Farleigh U11 (away)

WON 7-1

This weekend is Play Safe– The FA-led countrywide campaign to focus attention on the vital importance of safeguarding, to keep children and young people safe, no matter what the football setting.

Unfortunately no James O today due to illness, we hope he feels better soon!

Today we arrive in Coxheath for our fifth league match against Coxheath and Farleigh. A team that are currently unbeaten, this should be a good game!

The game kicks off and within minutes we have a penalty awarded to Coxheath and Farleigh for a Bearsted tackle. If Bearsted go 1-0 down at this early stage this could really affect the game!

The penalty taker lines up to take the penalty, powerful kick towards the goal, SAVE! Casper saves the penalty!!! Score remains 0-0.

A run from Charlie down the outside sees a cross to Kyle, he has a shot but unfortunately it just goes wide and a touch by a Coxheath and Farleigh player sees a corner awarded.

Corner taken by Jack, Harry heads the ball towards the goal but it misses, the ball is still in play, Harrys there, he kicks it the goalie touches the ball with his fingertips and GOAL! 1-0 to Bearsted scored by Harry.

A fantastic clearance from Nathen sees the ball clear of Bearsteds goal.

Danger as Coxheath and Farleigh make a run for the goal but a save by Casper stops any chances.

A pass from Timurs to Charlie who passes the ball to Kyle is defended by the opposition and a corner is awarded. Corner kick taken by Jack goes straight into the box, a backwards kick by Harry GOAL! Score now 2-0 to Bearsted.

Coxheath and Farleigh come back fighting and make it to the box but James P isn’t letting anyone through and makes a great clearance.

After a few throw ins Coxheath and Farleigh run towards the goal but Timurs is there to clear the ball leading to a corner for Coxheath and Farleigh. Powerful kick into the box, they have a shot but the ball hits the crossbar and bounces out.

A battle for the ball by Lewis sees it cleared near the box and Casper kicks it to safety.

A throw in by Coxheath and Farleigh is cleared by Timurs, another corner for Coxheath and Farleigh. The ball is kicked into the box and WOW a fantastic header by Coxheath and Farleigh just goes wide of the goal. That would have been a great goal if it had gone in!

Charlie makes an incredible run down the line, makes a cross but it unfortunately the ball goes straight into the hands of the goalie.

A shot at goal from Kyle just misses, the goalie comes out to get the ball, Jacks there, powerful left footed shot from Jack sees a GOAL in the top left corner.
Score now 3-0 to Bearsted.

A save by the Coxheath and Farleigh goalkeeper sees the score remain at 3-0. Pass from Kyle to Harry but Harry just misses, Kyles there for the rebound GOAL making the score 4-0 to Bearsted.

A bad tackle from Coxheath and Farleigh sees a free kick awarded just outside the box, Kyle takes it and has a shot, saved by the goalkeeper.
Half time score 4-0 to Bearsted.

We start the second half with some great footwork from Lewis, he battles hard and wins the ball, has a shot but it goes straight into the keepers hands.

Coxheath and Farleigh start strong but some great defending by Timurs and James P sees the ball cleared.

Shot by Kyle but the Coxheath and Farleigh goalkeeper saves it.

Another shot this time from Charlie but it hits the crossbar.

A shot by Harry hits the crossbar but its still in, Oscar makes a run towards the ball and shoots GOAL! Score now 5-0 to Bearsted.

A foul means Bearsted have a free kick just outside the box, powerful kick by Kyle sees another GOAL! 6-0 to Bearsted.

Incredible block by Nathan puts a stop to a Coxheath and Farleigh run towards the goal.

A shot by Kyle, Harrys there for the rebound but it flies straight over the goal.

Jack comes on and Lewis goes off. Jack has a shot with his left foot but it just goes wide.

A real chance here for Coxheath and Farleigh as they advance towards the goal, save by Casper but he doesn’t quite get his hands on the ball. James P slides in and Timurs clears the ball from the danger zone.

Corner for Bearsted taken by Jack, Harry makes a run for it but it goes out past the goal.

Casper makes a great save and James P clears the rebound by sliding the ball out. Touch by Coxheath and Farleigh sees a goal kick by Casper.

Charlie is off again, he passes to Harry but the keeper saves it.

A great run by Nathan sees the Coxheath and Farleigh player stopped in his tracks.

GOAL! A shot by Kyle sees the score change to 7-0.

There are minutes left, Jack gets the ball, he turns and kicks it towards Casper GOAL!

This time in the wrong goal, own goal by Bearsted sees the final score of 7-1.
