Goal scorers: Harry x2, Kyle x2 and Charlie

Dramatic start to the week this week as unfortunately Seth (goalie) has broken his finger and will now not be able to play for up to six weeks!! Fortunately Casper has been signed as an emergency goalkeeper. Casper has trained with the team previously. Welcome Casper and we wish Seth a speedy recovery!

It’s a hot one today! The ref has agreed some extra water breaks.
The team start strong and there are very quickly some chances for a goal. Nathan makes a strong tackle preventing the other team from getting near to the goal.

GOAL! Within the first 5 minutes James O has a shot, misses and Harry scores on the rebound. 1-0 to Athletic.

Kyle takes a great corner and the ball lands in the box but unfortunately cleared by Castle Wanderers. Great defensive work from James P and clearances from Timurs keep Athletic in the lead.

After some fantastic saves by Casper Castle Wanderers score just before the end of the first half making the score at the end of the first half 1-1.

Within minutes of the second half commencing we have a GOAL!
Harry scores making it 2-1.

Jack has a shot which is saved by the keeper. Great start to the second half.
GOAL! Oscar crosses the ball and Kyle scores making it 3-1.

Lewis crosses to Jack, shot on target but keeper saves.
Castle Wanderers have a shot, Casper saves it but doesn’t quite get hold of it, another shot but it goes straight over the goal.

Free kick given to Castle Wanderers near to the goal, Bearsted wall stops a goal. Kyle has another shot on target which is saved by the keeper. Lots of great defending from Nathan and Timurs and Casper makes a save.

Charlie has the ball and makes an incredible run but unfortunately is tackled before he gets near enough for a shot. A tackle from Harry sees Harry lose his glasses and a free kick is given to the other team which is cleared.

GOAL! Throw in by Jack and Charlie scores his first goal of the season!
Score now 4-1.

Handball from the ref but the teams play on with some great defense and tackles from James P.

An amazing overhead bicycle kick from Castle Wanderers lobs the defenders and keeper and makes the score 5-2.

GOAL! Harry gets near the box, falls over however kicks the ball whilst lying on the floor to Kyle who scores!! Final score 5-2 to Bearsted!
