Infrastructure Support Engineer

Due to company growth we are expanding the Service Delivery Team with Infrastructure Support Engineers, reporting to the Technical Operations Manager.

The Infrastructure Support Engineer is a vital part of our growing Senior Engineering Team, supporting the Service Delivery department in the following specialist areas:

• Deployment Projects – Implementing pre-defined solutions, products, and services
• On-boarding Projects – Bringing new clients under the Sota umbrella and BAU support.
• Server builds, Office moves, Data migrations
• Problem Management and Service Improvement
• 3rd Line Support Escalations

We are looking for dynamic, energetic, and supportive individuals to join Sota, one of the UK’s leading independent providers of professional IT-managed services, across a range of sectors including construction, creative and media, financial services, charities, education, public sector, healthcare, and more. Are you an experienced support engineer skilled in troubleshooting methodology, and able to take ownership of issues to see them through to a successful conclusion?

Core Technical Skills;
– Microsoft Server, Desktop, and Productivity Software, including Microsoft Apps
– Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Security
– Virtualisation – Hyper-V, VMware
– Public Cloud Services – Azure, AWS
– Remote Desktop Services / VDI
– Scripting and Powershell

Working knowledge of;
– Networking – Firewalls, Switch configuration, LAN/WAN, Routing
– Storage concepts – NAS/SAN, iSCSI/Fibre Channel, RAID, Disk Systems
